An update after so long away from THIS microphone.

I give you updates about what’s been going on over the last however long it was since the last podcast. I also made the decision to pull the plug on the Unplugged feed. That’s All Folks! I will be putting all my podcasts into the main feed at http://mikedell.com/feed/podcast/. The Radio Mike Dell feed will stay active to catch all the other podcasts I do and the Video feed will stay active although, I’m guessing I won’t be putting a lot in there. We will see.

Otherwise, it was a nice drive in the woods and good to get caught up!

I decided to take my walk today with my recorder instead of my ipod. I talk a lot more about self-employment and what has been going on in the last few weeks with me. Also a bit of sound seeing around the trails by my house.

I just got and unboxed a Roland R-05 WAVE/MP3 Recorder
and this is the first recording out of the box without me reading any directions. This was recorded in the car on my errand run.

It seems a bit noisy but that might be ok.

I also talk about some other equipment I’m adding to the studio. I had a little trouble getting the Insert Cables hooked up between the Compressor/limiter/gate and the new Mixer.

Today’s show is going out on all the audio feeds. It’s sort of an announcement.

After 18 years of employment with a company, I have become self-employed. It’s going to take me a month or so to get ramped up and ready for a full load of business but I’ve never felt more ready then I do right now. 2 days ago, I didn’t think I was ready but the hand of God slapped me up side the head and said ” Dummy, you are going the wrong way. Here, go this way”

Yes, this is #36. I took the 28 iPadio phonecasts I’ve done and added that to the 7 Mike Dell Unplugged episodes and came up with that number.

Just a quick update from my lunch hour at work. We are going camping this weekend over at the KOA in Gaylord Michigan.

I’m trying out a new audio recorder for Android and seeing if I can post it using only the phone.

Just a quick update while walking around the house. I’m hoping this will only go out on the Unplugged feed but it *might* go out of both. Not sure how that is going to work. I will figure out how to separate the feeds if it does.

Also trying out my new Behringer Ultravoice XM8500 mic with my Sony portable recorder. I think it sounds great but I’m not a good judge of my own voice. (are any of us?)

I will have a full Mike Dell’s World podcast this week. I have some cool songs to play and some issues to talk about.

YES, You are seeing double. I had to do this to get this episode into both feeds. Sorry for the confusion!

A new podcast? Well, sort of.

In Mike Dell’s World # 145 I asked was people thought of the current format of the show. Me talking, some music and the same stuff I’ve been doing for nearly 5 years. Some people thought the music was good, some thought the music was too much.

SO, this is what I’m going to do do for “unplugged”. This is going to be the feed where I do just voice. No Music, no sound effects and unedited. Just me chatting about whatever it is that’s on my mind. These episodes will will likely be shorter and can come out multipul times a week or maybe no times a week. I’m going to try to keep Mike Dell’s World (the main podcast) as it has been more or less weekly.
